Superman at middle age would kill to look like Bruce McBarnette. Tall and lithe at 45, this head of a Sterling real-estate investment firm and part-time actor—see him as a Secret Service agent in the movie Dave—is a world-class high jumper. Last spring he broke the 45-and-over world indoor record with a leap of six feet four inches—only half a foot shy of his best at Princeton. In training, he takes the stairs at the Lincoln Memorial in 6.8 seconds, bottom to top. “I have a remarkable amount of energy,” he explains.
